Julia Velarde was raised in Littleton, Colorado and moved to NYC to pursue the world of animation. She uses her art to connect the past with the present, and roots her storytelling in the harshness of reality while blending it with the expansiveness of the paranormal. Ever since she was little, she’s been creating little worlds to get swallowed up by. When she’s not working her industry job, she’s hand sewing an army of felted freak friends.
