Mysterious Murmuring Heard in Plymouth, a City Famous for Its Hum
Plymouth, Devon, England is a city made famous in fortean circles for the odd humming sound that some residents have reported. The mystery of the hum itself was reportedly resolved by french scientist Fabrice Ardhuin, a senior researcher at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, who postulated that the annoying noise was generated by the pressure of waves vibrating on the ocean floor.
Recently, a new mysterious noise has emerged in the coastal city. City resident Joao Caetano recorded what he described as a "creepy sound" on his cell phone near the Royal William Yard while visiting the site with his wife. The sound resembles an odd murmuring or mumbling, and is so far unexplained.
