2017 Haunted America Conference to be Held in Alton, Illinois
The 21st annual Haunted America Conference will be held from Friday, June 23rd, through Saturday, June 24th, at the Atrium Hotel in Alton, Illinois. The event features guest speakers, workshops, a walking tour, and guided ghost hunts.
Guest speakers include Troy Taylor, conference host, supernatural historian, crime buff, and author of more than 120 books on ghosts, hauntings, crime, and the unexplained in America; Lisa Taylor Horton, conference organizer and company manager of American Hauntings; Robb Demarest, perhaps best known as the lead investigator on documentary series Ghost Hunters International; Rosemary Ellen Guiley, paranormal investigator and author who has written more than 50 books on a wide range of paranormal and metaphysical subjects; Sarah Soderlund, author, forensic psychologist, and paranormal investigator who is known widely as 'Paranormal Sarah' to fans of her radio show, newsletter, book, and her numerous articles; Greg and Dana Newkirk, road trippers, investigators and founders of the Travelling Museum of the Paranormal Occult, founders of Planet Weird and publishers of the Week in Weird; and Amberrose Hammond, co-host of Ghost Talk, author, paranormal researcher, and avid storyteller.
Notable conference events include workshops on psychic projection and dowsing; a walking tour of Alton, known as "one of the most haunted small towns in America"; and ghost hunts at some of the town's haunted venues.
Advance tickets are no longer available, but tickets are being sold at the door for $65/general admission for the entire two-day event, and $50/Saturday only.
