Maggie, the dog claimed by her owner to be the world's oldest died recently at the age of 30.  Now, I don't have to tell you that 30 is amazingly old for a dog.  What is even more amazing, though, is the bond we share with these wonderful creatures.  They are our companions and best friends, and our connection is so powerful that it can overcome vast distances of hundreds of miles.

There are those who claim we share a psychic link with our beloved pets, and just as many more who are dubious of such claims; but the one thing on which we can all agree is that our species share something special.  So here's to Maggie, wherever she is; regardless of her age or whether she holds a world record.  And here's to all of our good boys and girls out there.  I know I'll hug mine just a little bit closer tonight.

Yours in Impossibility,

Tobias
