Rehashing Reincarnation

Well, this is a new one to me.  Apparently, there is a boy who has memory of a past life he spent as a martian.   Now, children seemingly remembering things that happened in a previous incarnation is nothing new, but I've never quite known what to make of it. Are these kids really reincarnated souls?  Did they somehow learn this information and unconsciously incorporate it into their identity?  Are they just making it up for attention, or because of a wild imagination?  I honestly couldn't tell you.  But when there are children out there who produce verifiable details regarding other people's lives of which they definitely should not have knowledge, then I have to begin to doubt the mundane explanations.  I suppose we'll all find out the truth eventually, in this life or the next.
