Paranormal Pop Culture: Skunk Ape Snowboards

We're not certain these items are swamp appropriate.

Lib Technologies, a manufacturer of boardsports equipment, has named a line of snowboards after the southeast's swamp-dwelling skunk ape.  Not every board in Lib Tech's "Skunk Ape" line pays visual homage to the cryptid like the ones pictured above, but, according to the company, the boards are named for their ruggedness, which is a quality they equate to the skunk ape. Despite assurances of their rugged "all-terrain" nature, these boards are still designed exclusively for snowboarding, and we doubt they'd fare well in the boggy environments that are said to be home to the elusive skunk ape.
