Gods & Monsters Art Show 2018 (Artspace Jackson Flats, Minneapolis)

Even we were surprised at how many gods and monsters can fit in one gallery wing.

The Singular Fortean Society was recently invited up to Minneapolis and given unfettered access to the Gods & Monsters art show in Jackson Flats’ artspace. We were able to peruse the gallery prior to the opening, and it’s a good thing, too, because it didn’t take long once the doors opened for every available inch to be taken up with interested art lovers.

We’ve put together a larger gallery of photos in addition to this walkthrough, but for the best effect we recommend you visit Gods & Monsters during its gallery hours—this marvelously macabre collection of monsters will be available on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. every weekend through the 27th.

The amount of creativity and care on every wall in the gallery space is a testament to the dedication of Minneapolis’s wonderfully weird art community.

This must have been very early, because it has to be the only time all night that as few as two people were ever observing the same piece.
