Mothman

The world first heard of the Mothman in November of 1966, when a series of sightings of a large, black, flying creature with glowing red eyes took place in and around Point Pleasant, West Virginia.  The sightings culminated in the collapse of the Silver Bridge on December 15th, 1967, and to this day there are some that maintain the creature's appearance was a portent to the disaster.
