CBS news agency WLTX in South Carolina reported dozens of sightings of strange lights over Lexington and Calhoun Counties on Saturday, December 9th; which are now being blamed on military aircraft.

A spokesperson for the Joint Base Charleston, in North Charleston, South Carolina, said Sunday morning that a group of 17 C-17 cargo jets with the 437th Airlift Wing took off from their base around 7 p.m. Saturday for a military training exercise held over the weekend.

The aircraft flew across the country to Nevada for a training exercise involving high altitude military parachuting, in coordination with multiple air military installations and groups, including the 82nd Airborne.  More C-17s, along with various other aircraft, joined the effort as the formation moved westward.

The flight of military aircraft are also being held responsible for UFO reports over Denver, Colorado, where at approximately 9 p.m. that night witnesses reported seeing a line of strange lights move over the Cherry Creek and Washington Park areas.
