Las Vegas Family Claims to Have Seen Alien Beings in Backyard after Object Falls from Sky

A Las Vegas family claims that two tall alien beings were seen in their backyard sometime around midnight between April 30th and May 1st of this year.

The event began as a large fireball was seen streaking across the sky at around 11:50 p.m. on April 30th.

According to the American Meteor Society, the fireball was spotted by people across eastern California, Nevada, and Utah.

Meanwhile, at around the same time as the fireball, a doorbell cam in the same neighborhood as the reported alien sighting captured a loud roar followed by sounds like an impact of some kind.

Then, approximately 40 minutes after the fireball, a young person named Angel called 911. He had reportedly been outside with his brother when something crashed in their backyard.

"There’s like an eight-foot person beside it and another one is inside, and it has big eyes and it’s looking at us—and it’s still there,” he told the 911 dispatcher.

The dispatcher asked where on the property the encounter was taking place.

"In my backyard. I swear to God this is not a joke, this is actually … we’re terrified,” he replied.

Angel was then asked by the dispatcher to confirm if there were two “subjects” in the backyard.

"Correct and they’re very large. They’re like eight foot, nine feet, ten foot. They look like aliens to us. Big eyes. They have big eyes. Like, I can’t explain it, and big mouth. They’re shiny eyes and they’re not human. They’re one hundred percent not human,” he said.

Two police officers arrived at the house about 30 minutes after the 911 call.

The officers appeared to take the incident seriously.

“I’m not going to BS, you guys. One of my partners said they saw something fall out of the sky, too,” one officer said. “So that’s why I’m kind of curious. Did you see anything land in your backyard?”

One of the officers investigated the backyard, finding a circular depression, but bodycam footage of their investigation was blacked out due to privacy concerns.

During that time, the other officer was asking people in the neighborhood if they’d seen anything.

Another witness reportedly told police that they had seen a black SUV circling the neighborhood.

Ultimately, the police left with no definitive leads on what might have happened.

It was only later when the story was run by 8 News Now in Las Vegas on June 7th that events went viral.

The following day, Angel posted a video to his recently created YouTube channel to further explain his side of the story.

He explained that he was outside with his brother fixing a truck at around midnight when they saw a bright light fall to the ground followed by an impact.

The impact was “like a shockwave, sort of like an out-of-body experience,” he said.

When he tried to look at whatever had caused the impact, everything became blurry.

"It was all blurry, not my vision but the backyard area," he said. "I hear thousands of footsteps around me and maybe a couple seconds later the blurriness was gone."

Once his vision had cleared, he said, he saw a creature that was between eight and ten feet tall.

“He was a gray-greenish color and when I looked at it in the eyes, my body just froze. Like the same experience as having sleep paralysis,” he said. “[…] He would just stare at me, [and] seconds later I could start moving again. And I start running towards the house and that’s when I called 911.”

While waiting in their living room for police to arrive, Angel said the family heard what sounded like whispering and footsteps on the roof.

After the police conducted their investigation and left, the family began to pray.

"So, [the police] left, and we went inside the house, and we started praying. As we’re praying, you could hear a loud, humanlike scream in the backyard," Angel said.

That was the conclusion of his story in the video.

Angel promised to post a “part two” to the video on his YouTube channel, although as of the time of this article, he has yet to do so.

Reactions to the events have been mixed, with some saying they believe the family’s experience to be genuine, while others think it could be a hoax.

Believers have expressed doubt that the family would so quickly capitalize on a meteorite—assuming that is what was seen and recorded in the sky—to sell a hoax, and say that the fear expressed by Angel seems authentic.

Skeptics point to a few troubling inconsistencies as evidence that the entire affair may have been contrived.

In a follow-up to their original story, George Knapp for 8 News Now said that the news station had scheduled multiple interviews with the family, but each time, they refused to answer the door or their phones.

And filmmaker James Fox said in a tweet that he had been contacted by a police officer who told him that authorities are now leaning in the direction that Angel is lying and “made it up for attention.”

But that is far from the final word in this debate, and those curious about what really took place that night continue to look for evidence of otherworldly beings in all of the videos released so far.
