Crime Scene Expert Says Las Vegas Video Shows Entity Possibly "Cloaking Itself from the Camera"
Crime scene recreation expert Scott Roder of Evidence Room Animation & Exhibits told NewsNation last month that not only has the video released last year by Las Vegas residents the Kenmore family not been altered, but it also shows an entity that is possibly cloaking itself.
The video was recorded around midnight between April 30th and May 1st in 2023 after the family reportedly encountered two tall alien beings. The reported beings appeared following the flight of a large fireball overhead and the apparent crash landing of something in their backyard.
“Once you see it, you can’t deny it,” Roder told NewsNation “There’s no editing. That is an original video. We tried to debunk it to see if there was something that was added to the video. All of our results came back as it was authentic.”
Roder used motion tracking software, which also identifies the source of the motion, to analyze the video.
"We can take a video and look at whether or not there is an artificial artifact added to it or not. And in this case, we can definitively say to a degree of scientific certainty that this entity, this thing in the video, is in the physical reality in which the Kenmore family is also there. Like, this is so critical because you can clearly see through the slots of the fence that there is a leg in motion moving from the right to the left side of the screen behind there. So, this isn’t just like a head floating in space," he said.
Furthermore, he said, the opacity of the head is very unusual.
"This is a head that, somehow, does not have full opacity. The opacity of the head of the shadow is only about 33% opacity versus a normal shadow, which would be at 100% opacity or an object in the screen which [would be] at 100%," Roder explained. "And this isn’t anything that you did. It’s just what you are able to determine that this shadow being or this being in shadows [did], possibly creating its own shadow or smoky filter or cloaking technique that is not only cloaking itself to the people there but is cloaking itself from the camera in that it’s minimizing our ability to identify pixels inside of that shadow."
But Ben Hansen, a former federal agent and current host of UFO Witness on Discovery+, doesn’t entirely agree with Roder’s assessment.
Although Hansen said he was excited that Roder was able to examine the raw footage, and agreed that the video was likely unaltered, he thought that a rogue shadow could be to blame for the purported entity.
“If you look, there’s two or three different light sources. And any time you have that happening, you can have a lot of shadows from different angles,” Hansen told NewsNation. “So, unfortunately, we’ll never have the same exact circumstance where you can go back and test to see what might be causing a shadow effect.”
However, Roder said, there's nothing above the fence that could be reflecting a shadow.
“I don’t understand how the shadow could just be floating above the fence," he said. "I don’t believe that makes any sense.”
