Reports from the Void: 'Yellow Eyes'

On July 25th, 2021, the Singular Fortean Society received the following email with “Yellow Eyes” in the subject line.

I have seen something on three different occasions and [with] three different people, all who witnessed the same thing. I fired a weapon at it twice, and one of the times my weapon failed. Two others [whom] I have met have seen the same set of piercing yellow eyes and describe the same experience.
These sightings are in Arizona. Our lives have been going downhill since these sightings. One of the witnesses died a mysterious death shortly after; he was a USMC combat veteran.
I do not believe it was bigfoot or mothman. [The being] stood over seven feet tall; I could make out a tail, and it sits on a perch as though a lion and stands like a man. I took a step towards it; it took a step back.
I will never forget what I've experienced and I will figure out what it is. My experience was nighttime in Arizona in the Bradshaw Mountains near Gladiator Mine. Interdimensional being of some sort.

Investigator Tobias Wayland responded to the witness in an attempt to speak about these incidents, but received no reply.

Yellow eyes have been reported in several winged humanoid sightings, including two sightings near Indiana’s Prairie Creek Reservoir; one from a witness who claimed to have seen a flying humanoid with “glowing yellow-ish eyes” while on a boat at the reservoir in 2007, and another from someone who reported seeing a winged humanoid with “greenish yellowish-like eyes” only “ten to fifteen minutes” east of that location in 2011.

Those sightings took place in the same area as a series of encounters with anomalous, amber-colored orbs had by Indiana resident Garry Patterson.

However, yellow eyes aren’t exclusive to winged humanoid reports, and on October 17th, 2020, in response to an article covering a reported Mothman sighting at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, the Singular Fortean Society received an email with the subject line of “alien, reptile looking humanoids.”

That email contained a report of an encounter with beings that were “a cross between like an alligator and a man, but without a long snout. More like a human's face,” and with eyes that were “brightest, but also darkest yellow.”

The report was ultimately published in Reports from the Void due to the witness not responding to follow-up emails for more information.

Reports from the Void is a repository to share those stories for which we do not have enough information to make a full report. This is usually because of little or no communication from the witness following their initial submission.
