Reports from the Void: 'Where Have You Guys Been?'

The Singular Fortean Society received the following email with “UFO” in the subject line on January 12th, 2023.

Hi. My name is [name withheld] and I’m reaching out about my experience last week. It was around 9:09pm EST. As I was coming down my driveway, I felt the urge to ask, “Where have you guys been?” I asked because I used to see them in the sky during the day but not as much anymore. When I got out of my car in the driveway, I looked up and could see an object [that was] obviously not a star and changing colors. Pulsing and directly above my house but far enough away that I could take a short video. When people say they are connected to them, they can’t be kidding because it happens without much effort.
These encounters began with a passenger in 2002. I went from 2002 to 2020 without having an experience, until I attempted different things like CE5 and remote viewing. Bonkers, unbelievable but magnificent Universe we live in.
The encounter from April 2022 was a small silver sphere. I felt like last weeks object was the same thing but at night. Maybe. Thanks for inquiring about my experience. My family is no longer amused nor surprised by these encounters, as we’ve observed our fair share of unexplainable in my backyard since 2020.

Investigator Tobias Wayland replied with a request to interview the witness for more information, but received no response.

CE5 refers to a process to contact UFOs and their occupants which was invented by Dr. Stephen Greer.

Dr. Greer is a retired traumatologist who founded the Center for the Study of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) in 1990. CSETI was ostensibly founded to create a diplomatic and research-based initiative to contact extraterrestrial civilizations, and Dr. Greer largely focuses on ‘Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind (CE5)’—direct communication between aliens and humans involving "bilateral contact experiences through conscious, voluntary, and proactive human-initiated cooperative communication with extraterrestrial intelligence."

It’s not unusual for witnesses to experience a sense of connection or even communication when encountering a UFO.

Recently, North Carolina man Christopher Bledsoe, 62, recounted a series of encounters with seemingly intelligent glowing orbs that he claims to be able to summon using prayer.

And last year, The Singular Fortean Society was contacted by Shane Taylor, 44, who wished to report an encounter with a multitude of seemingly friendly orange orbs he’d had on Christmas Eve of 2014.

"It was really bizarre. There was a dreamlike quality to the experience, but I was still conscious and aware. It was really wild," Taylor said of his encounter. "When I got out of the car and they were right there it was almost like they were attracted to me; like they picked up on me and were like, 'Here’s us, here’s what we are.' To me it was friendly, like a friendly interaction. I know it’s so weird to say interaction, but to me it felt that way."
