Reports from the Void: 'I've Had an Encounter with Something That Wasn't of This World'

The Singular Fortean Society received the following email, with a subject line of “alien, reptile looking humanoids," on October 17th, 2020, in response to an article covering a reported Mothman sighting at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

I won't tell the whole story here, but if you'd like to know more, get back to me and I'll get it all out. I've had an encounter with something that wasn't of this world. I honestly believe they were reptilian, or something to that effect.
They were tall, well built, and a cross between like an alligator and a man, but without a long snout. More like a human's face. And the eyes I'll never forget. I still see it burned in my mind's eye. The brightest, but also darkest yellow. It was piercing. And the pupil was almost shaped like a cat's, but dark. Not just dark color but the intentions.
There were two of them. One at the end of my cot and one behind me when I turned over, bent down. Anyways. Nice Mothman article. Never seen something like that, but I've also had other very strange encounters occur as well. Best regards.

Investigator Tobias Wayland replied to the email, asking for more information, but received no response.

The location of this person’s experience is unknown, as are the time, date and any further details beyond what has been provided in the email.

Without more information, it is impossible to correlate the reported event—or the alluded to phenomena also present—to any other investigations performed by the Singular Fortean Society.

Encounters with “reptilians” are reported with relative frequency within both the UFO and conspiracy communities. Perhaps most popular among these narratives is the work of David Icke, who posited that a conspiracy of shapeshifting reptilian aliens from the Alpha Draconis star system are secretly manipulating mankind’s destiny from underground bases throughout the world. According to Icke, all major political figures, dating back into antiquity, are related in some way to these beings—in the case of dynasties, often by blood.
