Canadian actor, comedian, director, producer and writer Dave Foley shared a UFO sighting he had last January in a post to Twitter this week.

In his post, Foley shared a drawing of the object (pictured above).

According to Foley, the sighting lasted several minutes, and the object “appeared to be a solid craft about the size of a Greyhound bus or an 18-wheel truck. No rotors, no engine noise.”

"After years of interest in the UFOs without ever seeing anything, I saw something. This is a drawing of what I saw," he said. "I was with a friend who I’ll let decide if he wants to be attached to this. It moved silently, at great speed, hovered and pulsated with light."

"I should point out, the white lights were on the front of the craft, assuming that it was moving forward, and those lights pulsated separately from the body of the craft, which also pulsated," he added.

The friend in question appears to be documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, who has garnered attention over the past several years for his work as a public figure in the field of ufology.

Some fans were reluctant to believe the story at first, but Foley assured them his experience was authentic.

"[This is absolutely] not a bit. Just sharing what I saw," he said. "Many people who have encountered the phenomenon are afraid to discuss it because of the thoughtless and uninformed derision it inspires. Many who do discuss it have had their lives ruined by that derision."

In his interactions with curious UFO enthusiasts, Foley described an unusual feeling that came over him and Corbell during the experience.

"We felt like our emotions were being tamped down. We were unnaturally unresponsive to what we were seeing. In a way I’m still experiencing that," he explained. "I’m still feeling a strange detachment from the experience. For me it’s the most bizarre aspect of the experience."

The mystery surrounding UFOs seems to be a subject that Foley takes seriously, based on statements he’s made about both his personal experience and recent releases regarding military personnel encountering unexplained aerial phenomena.

“Regardless of what I saw, it has moved beyond being an issue of belief. The significant amounts of data, acknowledged by the Pentagon and Congress, makes existence of UFO/UAP phenomena an established reality,” he said. “Now for those tedious tweeters about to demand the data, Google.”

Ultimately, no clear conclusions were reached about the nature of the object he witnessed or UFOs in general, although Foley did admit that UFOs being alien “is one possibility.”

He did, however, seem relatively sure of what UFOs are not.

"No 'black project' has ever turned out to be anything but an incremental improvement on previous technology," he said. "The objects observed by the military bear no relationship to any current aviation technology. Their relationship to known physics is inexplicable."
